I’m a passionate designer, animator, and cinephile with a strong focus on visual design and user experience. Collaborating with others to create captivating visual communication through static and moving images brings me immense satisfaction. As an advocate for end-users, I strive to ensure that websites and products deliver exceptional experiences.
My educational journey includes four years at East Carolina University, where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with concentrations in Animation/Interactive Design and Illustration. Building on that foundation, I pursued my Masters in Animation and New Media from North Carolina State University.
One of the highlights of my career was serving as a Multimedia Specialist at the Center for Educational Informatics at NC State University. In this role, I had the incredible opportunity to work with computer scientists, designing educational games for middle school students. The aim was to enhance learning and create engaging experiences that catered to various learning capacities.
Currently, I am thriving as a Senior Graphic Designer at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. My responsibilities encompass a wide range of design projects, including white papers, brochures, newsletters, interactive forms, web graphics (both static and animated), presentations, conference materials, and digital and physical trade show graphics. Moreover, I actively collaborate with the Learning team to visually develop products and training that empower learners to elevate their skills and add more value to their clients and employers throughout their accounting careers.
To bring my visions to life, I rely on my proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AfterEffects, and the Microsoft Suite. Working as part of a team is essential to me, and I find great joy in collaborating with project managers, designers, copywriters, subject matter experts, learning experience designers, content creators, developers and internal clients across all projects. I take ideas from inception to successful completion with dedication.
I believe in the importance of clear and compelling presentations, which is why I have honed my skills in presentation delivery with a focus on making them memorable and persuasive. Additionally, I am proud to be UX certified through the Neilsen Norman Group, further enhancing my ability to craft user-centric designs.
